What A Performance!



WAP! is Bath's dynamic community showcase for all kinds of verbal antics, taking place about six times a year in the St James Wine Vaults. Entry is free, though donations 'in the hat' for featured performers are encouraged.

Evenings usually feature a heady cocktail of invited performers together with a garnish of floor spots. Always expect the unexpected!




  • Dave Angus

    WAP! was run for several years by the late great Dave Angus, who encouraged so many to have a go and to seek their own creative centres. His wry spirit continues to show the way.


  • St James Wine Vaults

    WAP! takes place in the salubrious surroundings of the Gallery Room, upstairs at the St James Wine Vaults - a characterful pub and well-known music venue in central Bath (behind the Royal Crescent).
